ANZAC Day Ceremony

At the end of a week of learning about ANZAC Day, World War I, and Gallipoli we held our own ANZAC Day ceremony. It was nice to have some parents along too.
We had some crosses that came from the New Zealand Defence Force as part of the 100th year anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. The names on the crosses are those of real Wellington area soldiers who served in the war.

As part of the ceremony we put poppies we had made on to the crosses. Representatives from each class, as well as some teachers and adults were selected to add poppies.
It was wonderful to see all the children being so respectful at our ceremony - well done everyone.
